1. [walking toward a street he needs to cross while trying to clip a pencil to his pocket]
2. [sees a parked police car along with two police officers nearby]
3. [begins to cross the street, but at the same time, wants to be a courteous citizen]
4. [tilts head to greet]
5. Andrew: Hey, how are you doing?
6. [realizes he's already in the middle of the street, impeding a now decelerating car]
7. [backs up to let the car pass and runs in front of the slowly moving car that was following the other one]
8. [still can't clip the pencil to his pocket]
